There will be a season
when you have done all you know to do
and still,
nothing.
No answer at the door.
No sudden change.
No sign in the sky
telling you that tomorrow
will be kinder.
Just you,
your unanswered prayer,
and the strange silence
that makes you question
whether God is still listening.
He is.
Do not mistake silence
for absence.
Some of God's deepest work
happens without making a sound.
Roots grow in darkness.
Healing happens beneath skin.
Morning begins
long before the window knows
there is light.
And somewhere
beyond what you can see,
your life is being moved
by hands you cannot follow.
So do not abandon
your faith
because you cannot trace
God's footsteps.
You were never promised
a clear view.
You were given
enough light
for the next step.
Take it.
Even if your knees shake.
Even if your heart
has questions
your mouth is afraid to ask.
Take it.
Faith is not a life
without uncertainty.
It is waking up
with uncertainty beside you
and refusing to let it
choose your direction.
There may be things
you have begged God to change
that He is allowing
to remain for a while.
Not because He is cruel.
Not because He has forgotten
the tears you cried.
Perhaps there are lessons
your comfort could never teach you.
Perhaps there are roots
that could only grow
in this particular soil.
Perhaps the person
you are becoming
could not have been born
inside the life
you were trying so hard
to keep.
You may not understand it now.
You do not have to.
There is a difference
between knowing the reason
and trusting the One
who knows it.
And maybe that
is where your faith
is being asked to live,
not in certainty,
but in surrender.
Saying,
“Lord,
I don't know what You are doing.
But I know You.”
That prayer
is enough for today.
Tomorrow can wait.
You do not have to drag
the future behind you
like a heavy suitcase.
Let tomorrow belong
to the God who is already there.
Your part is today.
This breath.
This step.
This small decision
not to quit.
There will be days
when you feel forgotten.
When other people's lives
seem to bloom
while yours appears
stuck in winter.
Do not compare
your hidden season
to somebody else's harvest.
You cannot see
what God is doing
beneath the surface.
A tree does not panic
because winter
does not look like fruit.
It waits.
It keeps its roots.
It trusts the season
it cannot control.
Learn from the tree.
Stay.
Pray.
Grow quietly.
And if you must cry,
cry.
God is not frightened
by your tears.
If you must rest,
rest.
Rest is not surrender.
But do not bury
the hope God placed in you
just because the waiting
has become uncomfortable.
Some dreams
need more than desire.
They need time.
Some blessings
need more than prayer.
They need preparation.
And some answers
would arrive too early
and become burdens
instead of blessings.
So let God choose
the hour.
Let Him decide
when the door opens.
Let Him decide
who walks through it with you.
Let Him decide
what must leave
before what is meant for you
can remain.
Trust His timing
even when your own
is screaming.
One day,
you may stand
inside an answered prayer
and realize
you almost walked away
from it
because you were tired
of waiting.
You may look at your life
and finally understand
why God said no
to the thing
you were certain
would save you.
You may discover
that the closed door
was not rejection.
It was redirection.
That the delay
was not punishment.
It was mercy.
That the lonely road
was not proof
that you were abandoned.
It was where God
taught you
to hear Him
without the noise.
And perhaps
the miracle will not be
that everything happened
exactly as you imagined.
Perhaps the miracle
will be that you became
someone who could receive
whatever God chose
to give you.
So keep your faith
even when it is small.
A trembling hand
can still reach toward heaven.
A tired heart
can still believe.
A quiet prayer
can still be heard.
And a person
who has fallen a hundred times
can still stand
on the hundred-and-first.
Do not count
how many times
you have almost given up.
Count how many times
you got back up.
That is where
your testimony is hiding.
Not in the easy days.
In the days
when you had every reason
to close your heart
and somehow,
you prayed again.
You trusted again.
You rose again.
You kept going.
And perhaps that is
what God has been building
all along,
not merely the answer
to your prayer,
but the faith
that will recognize it
when it arrives.
So walk.
Not because
you can see the destination.
Walk because
you have entrusted
the destination
to God.
And when your hands
are empty,
do not assume
your life is empty.
Sometimes empty hands
are simply hands
God is preparing
to fill.
Wait.
Not hopelessly.
Wait with faith.
Wait with your heart open.
Wait knowing
that heaven has never
needed your calendar
to remain faithful.
And when the answer comes,
let it find you
still standing.
Still believing.
Still soft enough
to receive mercy.
Still humble enough
to say:
“I did not know
how You would do it.
I only knew
You would not leave me
to walk alone.”
Then take another step.
Because the road
does not have to reveal
the whole journey.
It only has to reveal
enough ground
for your next footfall.
And if all you can see
is that much,
walk that far.
God will take care
of the rest.
