There will be a season when you have done all you know to do and still, nothing. No answer at the door. No sudden change. No sign in the sky telling you that tomorrow will be kinder. Just you, your unanswered prayer, and the strange silence that makes you question whether God is still listening. He is. Do not mistake silence for absence. Some of God's deepest work happens without making a sound. Roots grow in darkness. Healing happens beneath skin. Morning begins long before the window knows there is light. And somewhere beyond what you can see, your life is being moved by hands you cannot follow. So do not abandon your faith because you cannot trace God's footsteps. You were never promised a clear view. You were given enough light for the next step. Take it. Even if your knees shake. Even if your heart has questions your mouth is afraid to ask. Take it. Faith is not a life without uncertainty. It is waking up with uncertainty beside you and refusing to let it choose your direc...
There are prayers
you stopped saying out loud
because saying them
began to hurt.
You folded them
into the quiet places of your heart
and carried them with you,
to work,
to bed,
through crowded rooms
where nobody knew
you were waiting for a miracle.
But heaven heard you.
Even the prayer
that came out broken.
Even the one
you could only whisper
because tears had taken
the rest of your voice.
The Lord will do it.
Not always
when your hands demand it.
Not always
in the shape
your imagination gave it.
But God has never needed
your understanding
to begin His work.
There are things happening
behind the curtain of your life
that you cannot yet name.
A conversation
you have not had.
A door
you have not reached.
A person
whose path is slowly turning
toward yours.
A blessing
that is still crossing distances
you cannot measure.
You call it waiting.
God may call it preparation.
You call it silence.
God may be building
an answer so complete
that when it reaches you,
you will understand
why He refused
to give you pieces.
Perhaps that is why
some doors stayed shut.
Not because heaven was against you,
but because mercy
was standing in the doorway.
Perhaps the thing
you cried over losing
was the very thing
God was removing
before it could cost you more.
Perhaps the delay
was protection
wearing the clothes
of disappointment.
And perhaps
the blessing you keep asking God for
is being prepared
with a precision
your impatience cannot understand.
So breathe.
You do not have to
carry tomorrow
on today's shoulders.
Let God be God.
Let Him work
where your hands cannot reach.
Let Him speak
where your voice cannot enter.
Let Him make a road
through the place
where you keep seeing
only walls.
His mercy has followed you
into rooms
you thought you entered alone.
It found you
after the betrayal.
It sat beside you
through the nights
you pretended you were fine.
It kept your heart beating
through seasons
you were certain
would break you.
Look at you.
You are still here.
That, too,
is evidence of mercy.
And favour,
favour is not always
a crowd applauding your name.
Sometimes favour
is the wrong people
walking away.
Sometimes favour
is the opportunity
that did not work out.
Sometimes favour
is God making you uncomfortable
with a life
you once begged Him to keep.
Sometimes favour
is the strength
to say,
“No more.”
Sometimes favour
is simply waking up
with peace
where anxiety used to live.
Do not measure
God's goodness
by the speed of your answer.
A seed does not look like
the tree it is becoming.
And just because
you cannot see roots
does not mean
nothing is growing.
Your life may look quiet
from where you are standing.
But heaven
does not measure movement
the way we do.
So pray.
Even if your prayer
is only three words.
“Lord, remember me.”
And then remember this:
He already does.
You are not a forgotten name
in a book of prayers.
You are not a number
waiting for heaven's attention.
You are held
by a mercy
that does not sleep.
What is yours
will not need to be stolen.
What God sends
will not require you
to destroy yourself
to keep it.
And what He removes
will one day make sense
from the other side
of the pain.
So keep walking.
With unanswered prayers
in your pocket.
With faith
that sometimes trembles.
With hope
that has been bruised
but refuses to die.
Walk.
Because the same God
who carried you
through what you thought
would finish you
is still carrying you
toward what you prayed for.
And one day,
perhaps when you have stopped
checking the door,
perhaps when you have stopped
asking,
perhaps when your heart
has finally learned
to rest,
the answer will arrive.
Not loudly.
Not with thunder.
Maybe it will simply
stand before you
and make you cry.
And you will remember
the nights you almost gave up.
The prayers
you thought disappeared.
The doors
that would not open.
The seasons
that made no sense.
And with tears
running down your face,
you will finally understand:
God was never late.
He was writing
a better timing
than the one
you had written for yourself.
So if all you can do today
is trust Him,
trust Him.
If all you can offer
is one more prayer,
pray it.
If all you have left
is a small, shaking faith,
give Him that.
Because small faith
in the hands of a great God
is still enough
to keep you moving.
And when your blessing comes,
do not say,
“I made it happen.”
Say,
“Mercy found me.”
Say,
“Favour carried me.”
Say,
“The door opened
because the Lord opened it.”
And say it softly,
with the humility
of someone who remembers
how impossible
the journey once looked:
“I prayed for this.
I waited for this.
I cried for this.
And the Lord,
He did it for me.”
