Love was never a heartbeat. It was the echo left behind after the heart forgot why it was still beating. It arrived wearing another person's face, its hands stitched together from promises that had already begun to rot. I welcomed it. Not because it was kind, but because loneliness knows how to mistake a wolf for warmth. Every smile it offered cast a longer shadow. Every whispered "forever" fed another ghost sleeping beneath my ribs. The thought of love is a clever liar. It builds cathedrals from broken mirrors, then asks us to kneel before our own reflections, calling the illusion destiny. How eagerly we obey. We water flowers that grow from graves, write poems to people who never truly existed, and embrace memories still unborn. Love watches. Silent. Patient. Like a spider waiting in the center of a web woven from hope. It never forces us inside. It simply lets us believe the silver threads are rays of morning light. To my enemies.
To my stalkers.
This one is for you.
Believe it or not,
I respect you.
Not because you stood by me.
Not because you wished me success.
But because, no matter how hard you tried to ignore me,
you never stopped watching.
You followed my journey,
counted my steps,
noticed every move,
and remembered things
even I had forgotten.
You searched for my failures
with the patience of a hunter,
yet every sunrise
found me chasing another dream.
While I was busy living,
you were busy observing.
While I was building,
you were busy waiting
for the walls to fall.
How unfortunate.
They never did.
So here is my respect.
Not for your jealousy.
Not for your bitterness.
But for your remarkable dedication.
It takes commitment
to spend so much time
watching someone
you claim not to care about.
Every rumor you spread
carried my name farther.
Every glance you stole
confirmed I was worth noticing.
Every moment you spent
thinking about me
was a moment
I spent becoming more.
Keep watching.
Keep wondering.
Keep talking.
The story isn't over.
And since you've followed it this far,
you might as well stay
until the final page.
So yes...
You have my respect.
Not because you are my enemies.
Not because you are my stalkers.
But because, without realizing it,
you became the most loyal audience
I never asked for.
